I have several family members at Greenlawn Burial Estates. My parents are in the mausoleum and its condition is deplorable. There are water marks on the walls and ceiling. The roof leaked several years ago and I don't know if it was ever fixed. They do remove the flowers every 6 months because they might look dirty, but don't seem to be concerned about the structure. It also smells terrible! I've visited the mausoleum at a different cementery in Butler and the only time it ever smelled was when the front was off one of the tombs when we attended a funeral there. Then it smelled similar to the mausoleum at Greenlawn. My brother & sister-in-law are also buried there and the grass is very seldom cut. I very seldom visit my family entombed and buried there because the cemetery is in such a sad state. I used to see men cutting grass, but not anymore; a friend was told that they employ an outside grass cutting service a few times a year. The only good thing I can say about Greenlawn is that they quit harassing me trying to get me to buy other products and services.

Sad. All they ( the huge corporation that owns them) is only, I repeat only interested in is Money.
Did you know they are not even locally owned? They are owned by a huge company, StoneMor Partners L.P..
StoneMor has 303 cemeteries and 99 funeral homes in 28 states and Puerto Rico.
My Mother and Father and Sister are in Greenlawn.
My Dad was the one that most recently passed away.
Would you believe that as an Army veteran, he has received a bronze plaque for his plot free of charge I might add, but, because he was buried on a Saturday and Greenlawn incurred overtime charges for their employees, the refuse to put his plaque on his grave. He passed in March.
They have told me the last remaining family member, that under no circumstances will they put on his plaque until I or his estate, he was not a wealthy man, pay them their overtime charges.
My parents buried their daughter, my sister in 1998 at Greenlawn.
They also bought and paid in full for 2 plots for them to be buried next to her. Paid in full. A long time ago.
Where is the decency in this world? Will my dad a Army veteran every get his free plaque placed on his grave?
So sad. I will be contact the VA for further help in this matter. Perhaps the local and national press also to correct this wrong.Added October 01, 2016 by Patrick Raffaele
